What is an Invitational meet?
Invitational swim meets are available for your swimmers to attend competitive meets which consist of several teams. These meets are not mandatory but are highly encouraged. The swimmers get to choose their own events. There will be a charge per event depending on the meet attending. An email will be sent out prior to the meet with information and instructions for meet entry.
What are dual meets?
Dual meets are competitive meets between two teams. We are now requiring swimmers to sign-up for Dual Meets. This informs the coaches which swimmers will be attending the meet so they can plan what events to enter the swimmers and know which swimmers are available for relays. Please sign "yes" or "no" on the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the pool balcony by the entry deadline the week of the meet.
What are the 'A' and 'B' meets?
The Byron Center Dawgs swim team is a member of the West Michigan Swim League. 'A' and 'B' meets are WMSL conference meets which all swimmmers within the conference can qualify for. There are no event fees for conference meets. Placement in these meets are based upon individual times swam during the season. The 'A' meet is for swimmers who qualify with specific times. See Qualifying Times. Your swimmer need only qualify in one stroke to attend the 'A' meet. If your swimmer qualifies for the 'A' meet they will not swim the 'B' meet. If a swimmer does not make the 'A' meet they will swim the 'B' meet.

If your swimmer qualifies for the 'A' meet they will not swim the 'B' meet. If a swimmer does not make the 'A' meet they will swim the 'B' meet.
