This policy is the team waiver and cancellation policy that was agreed to before completing the registration process. This is an exact copy of the policy from the online registration process.

"By registering for Byron Center Dawgs Swim team, I agree to abide by all the policies outlined in the team handbook, the team code of conduct as well as the USA Swimming rules and guidelines (for USA swimmers). I also agree to honor and support the mission of the Byron Center Dawgs Swim Team: a swimmer focused program that encourages and develops all swimmers to their fullest potential. I will support the club by volunteering for hosted meets. My role as a parent is to support and encourage my swimmer and to support the coach. I will discuss any concerns I have with my swimmer's coach in a respectful manner. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged through the first day of practice. A 50% cancellation fee will apply if a cancellation is made up through the first full week of the program you are registering for regardless if your swimmer starts or not. No refunds after the first full week from the start of a program.

By registering my swimmer, I acknowledge and fully understand that each participant may be engaging in activities that involve risk of injury. I consent to participation in programs sponsored by Byron Center age group.

I further agree to give permission for the participant to receive emergency medical treatment deemed necessary by any Byron Center coach or YMCA lifeguard and will be responsible for any costs incurred. As Parent/Legal Guardian, and in consideration of acceptance of membership in the Byron Center Dawgs Swim Team program, I hereby for myself and my child(ren) heirs administrators and assigns, waive and release any and all claims against the Byron Center Dawgs Swim Team, all affiliated volunteers and board members and the Byron Center Public Schools, for injuries, and expenses incurred by my child(ren) and/or myself at swim practices, swim meets, and on the road to and from said swim meets. My child(ren) is(are) bona fide amateur athlete(s) and is(are) eligible to compete in all events entered. I will furnish a certified birth certificate for my child(ren) upon request of the program officials. "
